TWITTER–It’s a well-known rule of the internet that you’re not allowed to say anything nuanced or constructive about the worldwide phenonmenon known as BTS. But, today, in a flip to the historical out-for-blood fandom which perfected the art of doxxing and harassment, ARMYs offered a reward for anyone – litterally anyone – brave enough to say that “Permission to Dance” was actually a good song.
“As faithful ARMYs, it’s our job to support BTS and the capitalistic interests of the company no matter what. Even if the songs they create become increasingly bland and white-washed for financial interests that betray the original spirit of the band,” remarked one BTS ARMY account on Twitter account in a desparate attempt to gain popularity against other ARMY fandom accounts. “So that means we need to unconditionally support anyone who says something remotely positive about this song for feigned 3rd party validation.”
“The boys of BTS are my king and emperor” said one ARMY in response to their critiqued hyperbole. “Of course I would know if they have no clothes.”
