South Korea Reports Highest Percentage of Paved Roads in the World, Thanks to Competitive Road-Paving Music Industry

Despite being the first to define the genre, Seo Tai-Ji reported the loss of another public infrastructure contract to "pave the way" for the South Korean government.

SEOUL—Despite being the first to define the genre, Seo Tai-Ji reported the loss of another public infrastructure contract to “pave the way” for the South Korean government.

“We really thought PSY would win this year’s contract for paving the way, for being the first to make K-pop a worldwide phenomenon,” commented Seo Taji at a recent press conference where the federal contracts were revealed. “I mean, Big Bang had a highly competitive bid for the roads they paved, not to mention Girls Generation and the Wonder Girls.”

This year’s road-paving federal contract was in fact awarded to BTS.

Loyal ARMYs were quick to point out that between the numerous precedent-setting artists since Seo Taji’s debut and the meteoric rise of BTS, BTS were in fact the very first artists to have paved the way.

Disputing the contract bid, Epik High’s Tablo interrupted the press conference by proclaiming that he “paved the way for everyone that is pavin’ the way.”

Defeated, Seo Taji looked the the nearest camera and acknowledged that “Okay, so maybe Tablo paved the way; but BTS paved the way a little further.”
