SEOUL—Big Hit Entertainment, the k-pop powerhouse behind BTS, today announced to reporters that it would acquire the entire K-pop industry in an effort to remain a lucrative company in the days following BTS’ retirement.
“It can be argued that, at least for the time being, BTS’ marketshare eclipses the entire K-pop industry,” remarked Bang Si-Hyuk, co-CEO and founder of Big Hit Entertainment in an exclusive interview to All K-Boo News. “We weren’t sure we’d survive like YG without Big Bang, so we sought to buy out the entire field while we still could. By buying the industry, K-pop becomes Big Hit Entertainment and Big Hit Entertainment becomes K-pop.”
Off camera “Hitman” Bang was found mischievously tapping his fingers together while whispering to himself nefarious plans of world domination.
